Ballistol's Quick Bluing formula provides a deep blue (black) finish to hide scratches and scuffs, protect metal and make old firearms look new again.

Quick Bluing applies a thin protective layer to cover up scratches and scuffs, this protective layer also protects the exposed carbon on your firearms metal from the elements and resists the oxidization process that results in rusting.

Ballistol Quick Bluing can be quickly applied to minor scratches and scuffs with great effect using a cotton swab to rug the formula into the metal, however, for best results:

• Degrease the area you will be applying the Ballistol Quick Bluing too.
• Then, using a very fine steel wool such as 00, prep the area with light rubbing.
• Once the area has been properly prepared, apply the Ballistol Quick Bluing using either a dropper or an applicator, such as a cotton swab.
• Let the bluing sit for roughly 3 minutes, or until it becomes a yellow-white color. Wash the residue off with water then dab dry with a soft cloth.
• Lastly, apply a thin coat of gun oil for good measure.
